I finally got around to booking my PyCon 2006 registration and hotel. This will be my 2nd PyCon, but this time I’m not presenting (which cuts the preparation time down quite a bit :-)
Python for Series 60 has come a long way since it was released last winter. This session will provide an overview of Python on mobile phones, demonstrate how easy it is to develop applications with a native look and feel, explore the many aspects of a phone that can be controlled programmatically and showcase several applications written in Python.
8mobile — The 1.3 release schedule and “me attending PyCon” aren’t related, and unfortunately, I’m not allowed to “break news” on my blog, so I can’t discuss the 1.3 release schedule just yet. However, I can say that the process, policies, and practices for the project will be changing significantly (for the better) after this release. But until then, I have to stick with the policy of keeping quiet until a public annoucement.
A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson -- a true tale of scientific thinking throughout history. You'll be amazed by how much we still don't know.
Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen. I'm a bit of a GTD freak since reading this, but productivity == $$ (whether you can simply get more work done in a given time, or work less by focusing on the right tasks.)

Yup! I’m excited to hear Matt talk about the project. I find it wonderful to see non-Nokia people evangelizing it!
